Thomas Cole Spencer's Obituary
Thomas Cole Spencer of Alachua, age 93, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Mr. Spencer was born in Alachua, Florida to Arthur Prescott and Pearl Thomas Spencer. Mr. Spencer served in the Army and was stationed in Korea. He operated Spencer Drug Store in Alachua for 37 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Alachua.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ann Spencer. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Eugene (Marie) Spencer, David Cole (Sandi) Spencer, Ronald Cornell (Jennifer) Spencer, and James Jeffrey (Amy) Spencer, all of High Springs; grandchildren, Thomas (Jamey), Lauren (Shahroze), Garrett, Caul, Ashely and Trevor, and great-grandchild Hannah.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 22 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Williams Thomas Funeral Home Westarea 823 N.W. 143rd Street, Newberry, Florida.
Funeral services will be held on October 23, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 14805 NW 140th Street, Alachua, Florida, with graveside services to follow at the Newnansville Cemetery.
Flowers are welcome, donations can be made in his honor to the First United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
