Thomas "Buddy" Mack Ridgell Sr's Obituary
Thomas “Buddy” Ridgell, Sr. passed away on December 10, 2024.
He was born on December 28, 1945, to Mack and Mildred K. Griffis Ridgell, in Gainesville, Fl. where he remained a longtime resident.
He proudly served in the United States Navy. Buddy later became the Co-Owner of Ridgell Painting Company. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a family man, and his greatest joy were his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Buddy was preceded by his parents, Mack and Mildred Ridgell, sister, Donna Joiner, and brother, David Ridgell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, JoAnn Ridgell; sons, Thomas Mack Ridgell, Jr., and Travis Mark Ridgell, Sr.; sisters, Diane O’Neal and Mary Ann Bass; grandchildren: Ashley, Deanna, Paige, Austin, Mark, Dylan, and Vanessa; nine great grandchildren.
A celebration of Buddy’s life will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. at Williams-Thomas Westarea Chapel 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, Florida 32669, with Military Honors. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 p.m.
