Mr. Thomas Leonforte's Obituary
Mr. Thomas Leonforte, 88, former resident of Port St. Lucie, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 in the Roberts Care Center, Palatka, Florida, following a long illness.
Mr. Leonforte was born in the Bronx, on September 22, 1929, to the late Michael and Josephine Leonforte. He lived much of his life in New York, before moving to Florida in 1972. Mr. Leonforte worked as a computer operator, notably for Ebasco and then the Martin County School Board. In 2005, he moved to Hawthorne, Florida. He loved and was an avid bowler, participating in tournaments, helping run leagues, just about everything he could find to do with bowling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Leonforte in 2006 and by a great grandchild, Kaiden T. Abt.
Survivors include; a daughter Patricia (Tom) Seadon, of Hawthorne; a son, Thomas R. (Rene) Leonforte, of Port St. Lucie; a sister, Millie Lourenso, of New Jersey; a nephew, Michael Lourenso of Woodstock, New York; five grandchildren, Angela Ankrom, Robert Abt, Tara Thompson, Jenifer Harrod, and Dawn Johnson. Nine great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 1:00 P.M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Hawthorne, 301 South at Lake Avenue. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Central. The family will receive friends, Friday, March 16, 2018 from 5 to 7 P.M., at the funeral home.
