Thomas Audley Jackson's Obituary
Thomas Audley Jackson, 90, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at his home in Haile, Florida.
Born in Albany, GA, Thomas graduated from the University of Georgia ahead of a 34 year career (as accountant) with the Coca Cola Co. Upon retiring to the Florida countryside, Thomas enjoyed long walks with his devoted and beloved dog of 20 years, Vickie, much anticipated visits from his grandchildren and dining out. An avid southern history buff he restored the historic Haile United Methodist Church and converted it into his home.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Elizabeth Jackson; his children, Nelson, Stephen and Valerie and his grandchildren, Rachel Nichols, Nathan Nichols, Noah Jackson and Anna Jackson.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, 16921 W Newberry Rd, Newberry with The Rev. Richard Pelkey officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, 16921 W Newberry Rd, Newberry, FL 32669.
