Thomas Lawrence "Larry" Brown Jr.'s Obituary
Thomas Lawrence “Larry” Brown, Jr., age 54 of Alachua, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Shands UF Hospital. Larry was born December 7, 1960 in Ocala, Florida. He grew up in Cross City and then moved to Gainesville. He worked for ShandsCair as an EMT. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and stock car racing in Bronson and Lake City and he loved his springer spaniels.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marcell G. Brown in March of this year. He is survived by his father, Tom Brown, Sr. and several generations of cousins.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., in Antioch Cemetery, 23808 S.E. 189 Ave., Hawthorne, with Pastor Mike Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to UF Diabetes Institute c/o UF College of Medicine, P.O. Box 100243, Gainesville, FL 32610.
