Thomas Alexander Thomas' Obituary
Thomas Alexander Thomas, 99, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the home of his son in Clewiston, Florida where he had resided for the past 5 years. Born and raised in Gainesville, he served in the United States Air Force for 30 years and was a veteran of three wars. He retired in 1977 at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant and returned to Gainesville to live.
He was preceded in death by Katherine Marcelle, his wife of 56 years, his daughter Katherine Elizabeth Thomas, and grandson Philip Corbin Thomas.
He is survived by his son, Ralph Mitchell Thomas (Mary Nelle), granddaughter, Katherine Fabian (Bill), and great-grandchildren Philip and Elizabeth Fabian.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 11:00 A. M., at Evergreen Cemetery, with arrangements by Williams-Thomas Funeral Home, begun in 1890 by his grandfather, Thomas Fraser Thomas.
