Teresa "Teri" Bush's Obituary
Teresa “Teri” Bush, affectionately known as “Nene” of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. Teri was born on December 27, 1943, in Albany, Georgia.
The daughter of an Air Force family, Teri grew up as an Air Force brat seeing the world. Teri had completed her LPN degree when she met the love of her life, Michael Bush, they married, and she became an Air Force wife. Then together, they lived in Japan, Germany, and throughout the United States.
Teri had a deep love for gardening, plants, animals, and children. She was an active member at Grace United Methodist Church and faithfully served in hospitality and Stephens Ministries.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Hayes Kicklighter; husband of 41 years, Michael Bush; her son, David Bush; her brother, Jimmy Kicklighter; her sister, Linda Norman; and her granddaughter, Haley Bush.
She is survived by her son, Scot Bush (Eyrone), and her grandson, Joshua Bush.
There will be a time of visitation at 10:00 am on Saturday December 13, 2025, followed by a small celebration of life for family and close friends at 11:00 a.m. at Williams-Thomas West area, 823 N.W. 143rd Street, Newberry, Florida, with Rev. David Chauncey officiating.
