Teresa S Robbins' Obituary
Teresa S. Robbins, 95, of Gainesville, FL passed away Monday, June 3, 2024. Teresa was born and raised on a family farm in Mt. Union, AL on November 24, 1928, to Willis D. and Mary Ellen “Mollie” Congleton Smith. She lived her life as a dedicated Christian, and Methodist minister’s wife. As a part of her ministry, she played the piano and sang in many church choirs over the years. She and her husband raised two children of whom they were very proud. She was a leader, organizer, and encourager to so many people and maintained many friendships for a lifetime of special memories. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed being a part of “The Kitchen Band” and “Young at Heart”. She also sang in “The Sweet Notes” sharing the gift of music in nursing homes and other venues around Gainesville. Many people will remember her phone calls and will wish there were phones in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Earl Robbins, Sr, and sister, Movalene Smith Knight.
Teresa is survived by her children Earl (Mari) Robbins, Jr., and Martha (Fred) Brunner, grandchildren Zachary “Zak” (Marissa) Robbins, Casey Robbins, Kelley (Eric) Sallusito, Kimberley (Austin) Harmon, and great grandchildren Ansley and Everett Sallustio, and Step Great grandchildren Ryleigh and Abigail “Abby” Luca.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, at Mount Union Cemetery, Evergreen, Alabama. A celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 11:00 A. M., in the Covenant Church of Gainesville, 3115 NW 16th Avenue, Gainesville, FL. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the Mt.
