Hi I met Sylvia when i was 25 years old. In the Big city of Gainesville, Florida
She was kind and sweet but she would tell you whats right and whats wrong.
She lost me and when she seen the last person who she knew and knew me she located me and never lost contact again. She Love God and I knew it. She call me my nick name Mama Do. I didn't get to meet Carman & Cythnia (?on spelling.). But i loved you all her sisters and brothers like i was your sister too. Sylvia spoke so highly of all all of you. May God richly bless all of us and continual to give us peace. Thanks Lil Steven for coming to see me and sharing the news of God calling her Home.

Sylvia Anterniece Polk Rhodes,
the first born to a very young couple, Sylvester (nmi) Polk, and Thelma Velentyne Pollard Polk,
who understood that Sylvia did not belong to them, but was being placed in their charge, to
reared in the “ nurture and admonition” (Ephesians 6:4) of the Eternal God, the Ancient of Days,( Daniel 7:9), and as we followed His lead, as He was training us in His way and ways , He would always be there for us, and He never failed us, even though we on many occasions I’m sure that we failed Him, He ALWAYS, took-care of us , and little Sylvia, who was never ill, or sick, during a life of childhood, and early adulthood but was profoundly strong willed, in parenting, requiring balance, between love and limits. She was a super active child, always doing something. This was Sylvia, a loan from God for a season, Who has summonsed her home for final accounting of business with Him. She will be missed, but we look forward to reuniting with her and our Heavenly Father, on the other side of the gulf, never to part again, where the life’s
experience will be that which the Eternal God intended and planned, in eternity past, before
the foundation of the world, and Adam’s selected disobedience, passed on to all of humanity. By the Grace of Almighty God Sylvia,“Rest in Peace.”
