Sylvia Lambert's Obituary
Sylvia Lambert, age 80, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, strength, and unconditional love. A devoted Christian, Sylvia lived her life guided by her faith and her deep commitment to family.
Sylvia was born on September 27, 1945, in Tampa, Florida, to Lenore and John Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Mary and Ida; her beloved twin sister, Sandria, who was her true soulmate; her daughter Susie; and her husband, Tony Lambert.
She is survived by her brother Leroy; her children Darryel, Tina, Reign, Kim, and Jennifer; her cherished grandchildren Dewayne, Cory, Dakotah, Tabatha, Travis, Hannah, James, Rose, and Shandi; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Sylvia relocated to Hawthorne, Florida, where she built a life centered on family and service.
She worked many jobs to provide for her children, including many proud years at Cox Cable, where she made history as the first woman to have her own work truck—an accomplishment she held with great pride. Still, the role she valued most was being a mother.
She also served her community as a foster mother for many years, opening her heart and home to children in need.
After the passing of her daughter Susie, Sylvia lovingly raised her granddaughter Hannah, once again demonstrating her selfless devotion to family.
Sylvia found joy in simple pleasures, especially thrift store shopping with her twin sister, and she had a lifelong love for cats and dogs. Her kindness, resilience, and faith touched everyone who knew her.
Sylvia Lambert will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, compassion, and faith will live on through her family and all whose lives she touched.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:30 AM. At Antioch Cemetery in Lochloosa, Florida, with Rev. Steve Matchett officiating. Following the funeral services, a luncheon will be held, and everyone is invited to Lochloosa community Church.
