Sybil Varnes Bishop Haveard's Obituary
Sybil Varnes Bishop Haveard, 94, of Gainesville, Fl passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024. She was born on September 28, 1930, to Harley O. and Julia Anderson Varnes. She was the fourth of five children, all of whom preceded her in death. Sybil worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Florida and then at UCF before retiring in 1990. Upon retirement she enjoyed fishing, traveling, and cruising.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lewis Haveard, and son Stephen Bishop.
Sybil is survived by her loving children Lynn (Bill) Bishop Martin and son Ronald G. Bishop, stepsons, Michael, Phillip, and Andy Haveard, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 3:00PM at The Windsor of Gainesville, 3605 NW 83rd St. Memorial donations may be made to The Green House Church 11200 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, Fl, 32606.
