Suzanne S. Brigham's Obituary
Suzanne S. Brigham, 85, was born April 2, 1932 in Campbell, Missouri. She passed away peacefully April 4, 2017 surrounded by her family. She graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1950. Sue attended Stephens College for two years before transferring to Duke University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1954. She also earned her Master of Arts in Political Science at the University of California at Berkeley in 1966. While at Duke, she met Eugene F. Brigham, to whom she was married for 60 years.
Sue is survived by her husband Gene of Gainesville, Florida and Highlands, North Carolina; daughter Katherine Brigham Bosio (Glenn) of Marietta, Georgia and their son John Brigham Bosio; and daughter Laura Brigham Beffort (Brian) of Reno, Nevada and their son Logan Beck Beffort.
Sue was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Laurel Garden Club Highlands, the Amaryllis Circle of the Gainesville Garden Club, the Gainesville Golf & Country Club, and Wildcat Cliffs Country Club.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to the Gainesville Garden Club, Inc., PO Box 357608, Gainesville, FL 32635 or the Laurel Garden Club Highlands, 39 Crescent Trail, Highlands, NC 28741.
