Suvilla "Sue" Pickett's Obituary
Pickett, (Sue) Suvilla, 91, passed of natural causes with her family at her side on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in Florida Hospital Waterman. She was a wonderful woman who is loved, missed, and will always be cherished.
Sue was born in Statenville, GA on May 16, 1926 to the late Albert Johnson, and Annie Burney Johnson. She is survived by; her daughter, Alma Jean (Ron) Temple of Apopka; a son, James Adolphus (Sharon) Pickett, III, of Mt. Dora; seven granddaughters, fifteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandsons, and several loving nieces and nephews.
After marrying Buck, she placed her energies into raising their children. When her two babies were almost grown, she went to work at Belk Lindsey. She retired from their accounting office after holding several positions for the department store. Upon retiring Sue, “Granny, Memaw, Big Granny, or Big Mama” as she is called by her many grandchildren, devoted herself to filling her home with the love of her family, surrounding a child with the warmth of her hugs, and their lips with raspberry kisses.
She will be always remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who touched the hearts and filled the bellies of everyone who was lucky enough to call her family; she loved us all so very much.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 P.M, in the Chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street.
