Sue was my friend and mentor for thirty years and in all that time she was kind, generous, supportive, funny, creative, and spiritually strong. She truly lived the way we all hope we can live, a tribute to her faith and her sincere wish to be a good person. She was! I hope her memory comforts all her family. Sue was such an empowering and fine teacher. It was an honor to observe her with her students. When her beautiful image of a Duckpond Victorian home was the SF Spring Arts poster, the original print accidentally got water split on it. Then to make matters worse, one of the office staff used whiteout to "fix" the area that water split on. When Sue was shown the damaged painting, she just smiled and added some paint and said it was now a mixed media work.
God's speed Sue, it was always an honor to know you. May your family find peace in the beautiful way you lived your life.
