Susan Morgan Beck's Obituary
Susan Morgan Beck, 59, of Micanopy passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the E. T. York Center in Gainesville. She was born May 12, 1957 in Gainesville to Richard Lee and Bettye Stanley Morgan Sr. Susan was a lifelong resident of Micanopy where she grew up and graduated from Eastside High School. She retired from the University of Florida after 36 years in the office of admissions. She loved spending time at the beach, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James “Thad” Beck. She is survived by her three children, Wendy Beck Ritten (Jimmy) of Micanopy, Justin Beck (Sarah) of Alachua, and Matt Beck (Dayna) of Micanopy; brother, Richard Morgan, Jr. (Cathy) of Clearwater, and grandchildren, Trey, Chase, Ben, Emma, Morgan, Will, Abby, and Matthew.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Philman officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN. In lieu of flowers, those who with may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90 Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606.
