Sue and Art were neighbors when we lived in Gainesville. Our backyards literally joined one another. They had a swimming pool and my boys enjoyed using it a lot in their early years. She was always jovial, caring and willing to offer her considerable talents to many. Our families began a long friendship in Ames, Iowa when I worked with Art in the Dean of Students Office at Iowa State University. That association continued when he offered me a position as Dean for Student Services at the University of Florida. Sue was gracious to my wife Susan, and our sons Todd and Scott. When we lost our son Scott in a snowboard accident many years later after we had moved to Colorado she and Art consoled us. I close with this from Isla Paschal Richardson, "Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you...Ioved you so --- 'twas Heaven here with you. Rest in Peace dear Sue.
