Sue Beverly Mixson's Obituary
On Saturday, January 23, 2021, Sue Beverly Mixson, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sue was a woman of unwavering faith and was a servant to God, the church, and to people. Sue fiercely loved her family. She had a passion for cooking and Southern hospitality. She was loved by all at Westside Baptist, where she served as Church Hostess. Her grace, integrity, infectious laugh, kind spirit, Southern charm, and tireless Christian example will be missed by all who knew her.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Waive Junior, one brother, and 3 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Jim Mixson; her son, Dan (Judy); her grandchildren, Daniel, Venessa Daughtrey (Will); and three great grandchildren, Grace, Tripp, and Jack; her brother, Fred "Cork" Junior (Connie); sister-in-law, Dianne; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11:00am at Shiloh Cemetery (11020 NW Highway 320, Micanopy, Florida 32667-7674). In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Westside Baptist Church, Gainesville, Florida.
