Steve "Shep" Newell Sheppard Sr.'s Obituary
Steve “Shep” Newell Sheppard, Sr. age 56 of Gainesville, Florida passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016. He was born January 26, 1960 in Ishpeming, Michigan to Wilmon Newell and Nancy Linna Sheppard.
Shep was a Correctional Officer with the State of Florida for 30 years until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Tracie; son, Steven, Jr.; his parents, eight siblings and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Pastor James Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Millcreek Farm Retired Home for Horses, P.O. Box 2100, Alachua, FL 32616-2100.
