Well what can anyone say about Steve. He was my friend,roommate,and colleague. Not to mention a rabId Gator fan. I loved Steve with all of my heart and will miss him terribly. No one has met a person like Steve . He was one of a kind.:He was one of my best friends and definitely the craziest. I never had more fun. I could tell you a hundred stories we had together but you probably wouldn’t believe them. I went to visit Steve several weeks ago and was able to spend an hour with him.I had a chance to look him in his big blue eyes and tell him how much he meant to me and how much I loved him. I had one last chance to hug him, kiss him on the cheek and say goodbye.Heartbreaking. I also shared my savior Jesus with him and hopefully he listened. I have many pictures and memories to keep him alive in my mind and soul ..I loved you Steve and will never forget you. Miss you and love you greatly . Your heartbroken friend, Bob

We met Steve when he was a student at the Dental School. Our daughters were fast friends in Middle School and still are in touch. We became loyal patients of his dental practice and respected his simple, no-frills approach to our oral health. He took good care of our family and always had time to catch up on the kids and life. We are sad that he is gone too soon from the Earth and send our love to his family-all those women! He was surely one-of-a-kind and his memory will always be in our hearts.

Dr. New was definitely a one-of-a kind. I actually looked forward to going to see him because he was so much fun. I did have one issue with him - he spoke so fast that I, a New Yorker, couldn't keep up with him. My brain felt like it had a delay built in! My deepest condolences to his entire family.

My Dentist Steven New, I moved to Gainesville in 1982, wanted to find a reputable, caring, great Dentist to care for me. He was recommended by many. I was his patient for 38 yrs! Best decision ever!!! I always felt his passion and wisdom of his chosen career blended with kindness and honesty. He was blessed with his skills and I blessed with his upmost care!
