Stanley Eugene Rosenberger's Obituary
Stanley Eugene Rosenberger went home to be with the Lord on Aug 1, 2015. He was born to Eugene David Rosenberger and Lillian Bauknight Rosenberger on a farm near Micanopy, Florida on Jan 2, 1923, and grew up with a strong sense of love for God, family, and country. He was honorably discharged from active duty in 1946 as a private first class, after serving 4 years in the Army Air Corps. Stanley received the Asiatic–Pacific Theatre Ribbon, The American Theatre Ribbon, and The World War II Victory Medal.
After graduating from the University of Florida with an M.S. in Horticulture and Agricultural Economics in 1949 he joined the Agricultural Extension Service faculty, where he went on to earn his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics. Following his retirement from University of Florida in 1974 he continued serving as Manager and Promotions Specialist of the Food and Fiber Center at Mississippi State University, until his second retirement in 1983.
Throughout his life, Stanley led his family with Godly principles of love, patience, and grace. Every child learned the value of education. Laughter filled the home. He leaves behind a loving wife of 64 years Marian Alvarez; two daughters, Carol Elmquist and her husband Trevor, Jeanie Ginn and her husband Rick; sister, Margaret Rosenberger; four grandchildren, Eric, Summer, Lacy and Lane and eleven great grandchildren, Isabella, Luke, Caitlyn, Cameron, Stella, Benjamin, Brooklyn, Amelia, Allison, Eivin, and newly-adopted Maria.
We rejoice in his life of faith, his legacy of family, and his eternal presence with the Lord.
