Srinivasan K.R.'s Obituary
Srinivasan, K.R., aged 87 years, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Gainesville, FL on Monday, July 15th, 2024. He is survived by his wife, (Visalakshi), Son (Siva), Daughter in Law (Lakshmi) and Grandchildren (Ragav and Akshara).
Born in India, Srinivasan spent his childhood years in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. He worked for the Lipton Tea company for his entire career, first in Mumbai and then in Chennai. After retiring in 1993, he focused much of his energies on religious and spiritual activities. He moved to Gainesville in 2018 and has enjoyed being a part of the local community.
Srinivasan was known for his simple and disciplined way of life. He spoke less and listened more. He valued education immensely, loved religious activities, and wanted to see the community Devi temple completed in Gainesville. He will be missed by his family and friends here and in India.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Williams-Thomas Downtown Chapel., 404 North Main Street. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
