Sherry Dowling's Obituary
Sherry Sanders Dowling, age 83 passed away Dec. 1, 2021, at her home in Palatka, Fl.
She is survived by her husband John Dowling; their children Dale Murphy (s-Glenda) of Ellijay, Ga., Lynda Murphy Bartley (s-Craig) of Lexington, SC., Teresa Murphy (s-Roger) of Cleveland, Tn., Keith Dowling (s-Nicole’) of Spring Lake, Mi., Kevin Dowling (s-Tracie) of Kalamazoo, Mi.; her sister Brenda Ricard of Palatka, Fl., brother Stacy Sanders of Hollywood, Fl., sister Janice Ramey of Gainesville, Fl.; her grandchildren Tiffany Murphy Cipriani, Ryan Murphy, Casey Murphy, Clinton Frye, Desiree Buttars, Kristyl Buttars, Moriah Johnson; great grandchildren Naomi, Nataleigh, Melodi, Luke, Adriana, Kalin, Alvin, Josiah and Zaiden.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Reason “Dick” Edgar Wright and Kate Holly Civility Nipper Wright of Newberry, Fl.; father, James Clyatt Sanders of High Springs, Fl.; mother, Abilene Wright Wise of Newberry, Fl.; her brother James “Jimmy” Sanders Jr. of Archer, Fl.
Sherry won Mrs. Miramar and was recognized for her homemaking skills. She loved to sew, cook, and spend time with family. After the birth of her three children, she obtained her nursing degree. In 1994 she performed lifesaving CPR on her grandson. Some may better know her as Nana the Clown or Mrs. Santa. Those closest know her for her big heart and beautiful smile.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Newberry.
