Michael Heckerman
Sheila's Celebration of life event on 5/17/2025:
For those of you that don't know, I'm Sheila's brother Michael.
Thanks everyone for attending this celebration of life for Sheila Heckerman. She is looking down with a smile.
When I heard of Sheila's passing I was shocked and speechless as we all are when a family member passes. She had always managed to survive several life challenges but not this one.
I want to share with you a few defining events that I feel shaped Sheila's life and made her the person she was. There were many but these are what I want to share with everyone.
The first was the birth of her son Tommy. She loved him dearly and would do anything for him.
The second was stepping up as a caregiver for mom and dad during their end of days. Mom was diagnosed with ALS and dad dementia. Not an easy task for anyone. Sheila truly shinned in those days and allowed mom and dad to spend more time with their family they loved so dearly.
Thanks She. We will forever remember what you did not just for mom and dad but for the whole family.
In conclusion, I want to send a shout out Margaret, Sharon, and Gretchen for putting closure to Sheila. A special shout out to Margaret who opened her home to Sheila after mom and dad past away.
