Sayed Ahmad Vahedi's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Sayed Ahmad Vahedi, a cherished husband, father, and friend passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025 at the age of 85 at Bedrock Nursing Center at Suwannee in Live Oak, FL
Sayed was born August 24, 1939 in Rasht, Iran. He was 1 of 7 children born to Sayed Habib Vahedi and Meresa (Sagahti) Vahedi. He is preceded in death by both parents, his wife, 1 brother and 1 sister. He came to the United States in 1969 to pursue his dream of a college education. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville majoring in Business. In 1971 while in Gainesville he met the love of his life his wife Cheralan (Graham) Vahedi at the dental office she worked at. Sayed was a last minute Friday afternoon dental emergency. They fell in love and got married in June 1972. They both transferred to the University of South Florida in Tampa to continue their education. In August 1979 their only daughter was born.
Sayed spent most of his career managing restaurants in North Florida. He settled in Lake City, Florida with his wife where he was able to enjoy retirement. Sayed enjoyed watching and reading about history. He was a huge Soccer (Football) fan. His favorite team was Manchester United. The world stopped when the World Cup happened.
He is survived by his daughter Sayedeh Cherareh Vahedi (Sharon), many friends and family, both in the United States and overseas.
Memorial/graveside service will be Monday, May 5, 2025 at 2:30pm at Forest Meadows Cemetery-Central. 4100 NW 39th Avenue Gainesville, Florida 32606
