Sally Dougherty Cox's Obituary
Sally Dougherty Cox, age 72 of Waldo, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 in North Florida Regional Medical Center. Sally was born November 14, 1942 in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana to J. George and Una Lee Chamber Donaldson. She grew up in Waldo. She was a true southern belle. Her daughters called her their china doll. A strong Christian, she was a member of Waldo Baptist Church.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Frank William “Bud” Dougherty in 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Michael) Bergsund of Waldo, FL and Lisa Robison of Middleburg, FL; sister, Sandra D. Sanders of Interlachen, FL; four grandchildren, Telisha, Telina, Shayna and Chase and two great grandchildren, Makyla and Hayden; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., in Saluda Cemetery in Orange Heights with Bro. Charles Blackwell officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 26, 2015, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street.
