Ryland Jake Nicely's Obituary
Ryland Jake Nicely, 83, of Hawthorne, Florida, died Thursday, April 6, 2023 at his home, following a long illness.
Mr. Nicely was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia on September 1, 1939, one of a set of triplets. His triplet brothers, Frank and Dock Nicely preceded him in death. Jake, as he was known, came to Florida and worked for many years as a grounds keeper for the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine until his retirement. He enjoyed being outdoors, anything to do with tinkering and had several eclectic collections; like lighters and model trains, to mention a few.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose (Chris) Carver and Rhonda Beineke, both of Iowa; one son, Ryland (Fallon) Nicely of Hawthorne. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 10:30 A. M., at the Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery.
