Ruth Madeline Thompson's Obituary
Ruth (Aunt Ruthie) Thompson, age 91 of Archer, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 12, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis G. Thompson. She leaves behind to carry on her memory her daughter, Beverly Sommers (Dennis); her grandchildren, Michael Owens (Donna), Steve Owens, and Jodie Thorne; great grandchildren, Chris, Maddie, and Josh; her nieces, Sandy Durden (Gearry) and Iris Beck (Mike), and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Aunt Ruth will be remembered as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She was also creative and a skilled artist of many talents. She was a seamstress, painter, crafter, and quilter. But most importantly, a sister in Christ.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Ruth’s going home on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 3200 SW 122nd Street, Gainesville, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made in Ruth’s name to Faith Baptist Church.
