Ruth Sammon's Obituary
Ruth Sammon, age 86 of Winter Park, FL, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at her daughters home in Worthington Springs, FL.She was born September 17, 1927 in Milford, Delaware to Willard and Fannie Dickerson Lank.
Mrs. Sammon was a member of the Winter Park United Methodist Church where she lived most of her married life. She served as a WAC stationed in San Francisco, CA. She enjoyed the beach, cooking and dancing with her husband throughout their life.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Sammon.
Mrs. Sammon is survived by her children, Nanette (Richard) Cason, Melissa Weatherford, Mary Crownover and Pete (Lora) Sammon; grandchildren, Richard Cason II, James H. “Jimmy” Cason IV,AndrewBennett “Andy” Cason,Amanda Ruth “Mandy” Cason, Rachel Ann Cason; Hal, Ben and Emily Weatherford; Jacob and Ashley Sammon; Katherine and Malory Crownover; great grandchildren, Landon, Clayton and Allie; niece Joyce (Bob) Voshel and caregiver and companion Carol Hufford.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA with Pastor Richard R. Cason officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeland, FL.
