Ruth earned an MBA in Marketing from St. Leo University. She was Associate Director of Procurement for Arranta Bio, a company providing process development and manufacturing services for biotherapeutic products targeting diseases linked to the human microbiome. She was very excited to be part of a company making a difference in people’s lives and was very proud of her colleagues and the goals that they were achieving.
Ruth was an extraordinarily creative person who excelled in painting, music, writing and all things creative. She was a classically trained pianist and enjoyed playing music with each of her sons who are all very well-trained musicians. She was an avid painter whose favorite medium was oil on canvas. She was also an avid reader with an extensive library collection of many varied genres.
She was especially passionate about travel. Mike and Ruth travelled extensively over the past few years spending time throughout Europe and the Caribbean. They had plans to retire to Italy which was their favorite vacation spot. She absolutely loved the beach and was a great surfer and swimmer. Mike and Ruth also enjoyed riding Mike’s Indian Chief motorcycle everywhere but especially through the mountains of Sicily!
Ruth always had a great devotion to helping others. She volunteered much of her time to the local Catholic Charities office in High Springs assisting with various administrative and software projects for the office. She also volunteered time at various food banks locally and in many other ways to assist people who needed help. She was a very vibrant, loving, giving person. Her loss is great and will be felt by many.
