Ruth E. Dorricott's Obituary
Ruth E. Dorricott, age 92, of Melrose, Florida passed away Monday, December 23, 2024. She was born March 31, 1932, in Westminster, Maryland to Evelyn Fitze.
She worked at several hospitals throughout her career, retiring from Shands at the University of Florida.
Ruth loved to knit and watch game shows. She loved the Gators, and she enjoyed collecting owls.
She is survived by daughter, Mignetta Doody; special friend Nancy Mobley; grandchildren, Grace Brice, Nicholene Burgess and Danielle Shaner; eight great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Dorricott; sister, Helen Reed; foster sister, Mary Elizabeth Robbins; son, James “Jay” Main, Jr.; grandsons, James Doody, III, Michael Crummel and great grandson, Christian Doody.
