Russell Mihelic's Obituary
Russell Edward Mihelic, age 51 of Gainesville, FL died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Russell was born May 27, 1971, in Fairview, Ohio to James J. and Cynthia Ann Sievert Mihelic. Russell graduated from Buholtz High School and attended Santa Fe College. He retired from Publix (Newberry) where he worked as a back door receiver for over 20 years. Russell, and his loving wife, Lynn have been partners for over 26 years. Russell had a wide variety of interests. He loved playing guitar with friends, on-line gaming, music concerts, cooking, NASCAR racing and car collectibles, scary movies, and hunting and fishing. He loved animals, all kinds of animals. He was especially close to his two rescue dogs, Cooper, and Brooke. Russell had a great love for his family. He enjoyed spending time with them whenever possible. They will all miss his presence in their lives.
Russell is preceded in death by a brother, Stephen James Mihelic. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Mihelic; daughter, Alex Mihelic; parents, James and Cynthia Mihelic; brother, Ron (Erin) Michelic, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd Street, Gainesville.
