Russell Kellar's Obituary
Russell Kellar, age 97 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 in Gainesville, Florida. He was born December 15, 1916 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Steven and Myra Kellar. He served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Kellar retired from Van Huffle Tube in Warren, Ohio. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and sports, especially the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He was a member of Mecca Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Delores Jean Crouser; brothers, Denver and Everett Kellar and sisters, Velma Kellar and Yvonne Thorn.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Genevieve Ashby Kellar; children, Bill Kellar, Dick Kellar, Nancy Lee Stewart and Doris Ann Garrett; sisters, Evelyn Minton and Eileen Linville; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Services will be held at a later date in Mecca, Ohio. Those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville FL 32606.
