Rosemarie Watson's Obituary
WATSON, ROSEMARIE age 83, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2013 in Gainesville. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on Nov. 9, 1930 to Cornelius and Mary Margaret Coughlin Breslin. She was Catholic.
Mrs. Watson retired from the University of Florida as a supervisor in Centrex. She was an Avid Gator fan, and sports fan in general.
She joined the Gainesville Greater Lioness Club in 1979, and has been an active member since. In 1999-2000 she was elected District 35L Governor, and the first woman in the district to serve in this capacity. Over the years she was a recipient of many awards, twice named Lion of the Year by her club. In 2001 she was presented the International Leadership Medal.
She is survived by her Children; Martin (Anne) Watson, James (Ali) Watson, Michael (Linnie) Watson, Mary Bambrick (George), Steven (Lisa) Watson, Joseph (Alycia) Watson, Brother; Richard Breslin, 16 Grandchildren, and Numerous Great Grandchildren. Preceded by her Husband; Martin L. Watson.
Memorial service will be held Monday December 23, 2013 at 2:00pm at the WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 N.W. 143 Street.
