Ronnie Elwin Keen Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Ronnie Elwin Keen, Jr., 55, resident of Earleton, Florida, died Monday, February 8, 2016 at his home, following a long illness.
Ronnie was born on December 15, 1960 in Live Oak, Florida to the late Ronnie E. Keen, Sr. and Iris Faye Keen. He was raised in Earleton, graduating from Hawthorne High School. As a young man, he farmed and worked at the family feed store, C & L Feed. He later worked as a plumber for Church's Plumbing in Gainesville. Ronnie was a member of Eliam Baptist Church in Melrose, and in any free time he could find, he loved to fish. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Keen, and a sister, Robin Keen.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie Elwin Keen, III and a daughter, Emily Lynn Keen; his friend and longtime companion, Angela Keen, all of Earleton; his mother, Iris Faye Keen, of Hawthorne; one brother, Rodney Keen, of Hawthorne and a sister, Debra (Tony) Johns, of Suwannee; four grandchildren, Caleb Casper, Ayeden Schultz and Axel and Cash Keen.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at the Orange Heights Baptist Church, 16700 NE SR 26, Hawthorne. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Shands Cancer Hospital, c/o UF Health Office of Development, P.O. Box 100386, Gainesville, FL 32610.
