Ronald Lee "Ron" Wishart's Obituary
Ronald Lee (Ron) Wishart, age 50, of Gainesville, beloved son, brother, uncle and great friend, passed away suddenly at his home, Sunday, February 26, 2017. He was born September 4, 1966 in Washington, D.C. to Paul and Sheila Celoie Goode Wishart.
Ron attended Labrae Middle School (Leavittsburg, OH) and graduated from Rutherford High School (Panama City, FL). He attended Auburn University and received his masters from the University of Florida. He enjoyed working for many years at Scarborough FCM Metals. He loved to work outdoors and ride motorcycles. He was always working and helping others. He loved the Lord and attended Pentecostals of Gainesville.
He is survived by his parents, Paul and Sheila Wishart of Gainesville, brothers: Thomas P. Wishart of Gainesville; Stephen C. Wishart (Leslynette Vega Lopez) of Guatemala City, Guatemala; Scott C.C. Wishart of Charlotte, NC; nephew, Milo C. Jones Wishart; niece, Victoria I. Wishart; and former wife, Charlene Sodders and daughter, Taylor Stancil.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles C. Wishart, Sr, and Elsie Burgermyer Wishart; maternal grandparents, Carl L. Goode, Sr and Eleanor Outlaw Goode McMinn.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" This was his hope.
A life celebration will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street. Interment will follow in Countryside Cemetery, 10926 NW 39th Ave, officiated by Rev. Alex Martinez. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service, beginning at 12:00 PM.
