Today is Feb. 18th, 2018. The day of the Daytona 500. Particularly sad for me, since Ronnie, myself, and a few friends always either went to this race, or at least watched
in on TV. The Daytona International Speedway being our "home" track (2 hours away).
I miss him so much. He was truly one of a kind. A friend, boss, fellow car nut (him with
his Corvettes and Pantera, me and my Austin-Healey and Jaguars). He was a mentor to me during the earliest days of my building career, dearest friend and confidante, and the older brother I never had. So kind and patient with me, more than I deserved.
A true man's man, strong (and stubborn, lol) as an ox, yet gentle and soft-spoken as a
lamb. Comfortable with captains and kings. Best personality, best sense of humor, and
quickest wit of anybody I knew. I loved him dearly. Life will never be the same without
him. A light definitely went out in my life. Things are dimmer now, with him gone.
