Ronald Gene Green's Obituary
Ronald Gene Green, age 73 of Gainesville, Florida passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 in Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. Mr. Green was born June 9, 1941 in Gainesville to James Allen and Rosa Belle Green. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 22 years.
Mr. Green is survived by four sisters, Verna Sisk, Aline King, Louise Penn and Geri Swafford; one brother, Billy Ray Green and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., in Ridgeview Baptist Church, 3508 NW 19th Street, with Pastor Bill Davenport officiating. A reception at Ron’s House will follow the service. Inurnment will follow the reception in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 2:00 p.m., with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
