Ronald A. Sheldon, Sr.'s Obituary
Ronald A. Sheldon, Sr. age 86 of Gainesville, FL died Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born January 14, 1936 in Hartford, Connecticut to Carl and Ethel Boyington Sheldon.
He joined the Hartford Police Department, October 14, 1957, and retired as Deputy Chief in September of 1995.
Ron is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janet Castelvetere Sheldon; sons, Ronald and Bradford Sheldon; grandson, Jason Sheldon and wife, Julianne; great granddaughter, Lila Marie Sheldon.
He was preceded in death by sons, Thomas and Gregory Sheldon and granddaughter, Kristine Sheldon Roman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 SW 24th Ave. with Fr. Alberto Esposito as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
