Roger Lee Tillman's Obituary
Roger Lee Tillman, age 73 of Micanopy passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 25, 1950, in Gainesville to Irvin B. and Jeanette Ericson Tillman.
He was a master carpenter. Hunting and fishing were his passions. He was a workaholic, that’s what made him go. Roger was thought of by many as a good person. He was known as the neighborhood surrogate Dad to many of the boys in the neighborhood. He enjoyed wood working. The last few months of his life he built a greenhouse for Delores, as a last gift to her.
He and Delores raised their granddaughters, after their son passed away, he loved his girls…
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Delores Tillman; daughter Marlana Lee Tillman; granddaughters, Teagan Clements, Gabriel Parker, Brionna Tillman, Arionna Lexi Tillman; nieces, Suzy Carey, Dana Crews and nephew, Johnny Adkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Roger Lee Tillman II, sisters, Brenda Adkins and Diane Hamilton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Roger, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.
