Rodney Bart Holton's Obituary
Rodney Bart Holton, age 63 of High Springs passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015. He was born October 25, 1952 in Gainesville to Bart Grant and Faye Loyless Holton.
Rodney was a lifelong resident and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1970. He enjoyed playing basketball and softball in his younger days. He retired in January from PFG. He was an avid Gator fan. Most of all he loved watching his daughter Jamie play volleyball.
He is survived by his wife, Ginger Holton; daughter, Jamie E. Holton of High Springs; brother, Rodger Holton (Joanne) of Newberry; sisters, Arlene Funkhouser (Gene) of Alachua and Linda Scoggins of Chiefland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Faye and Bart Holton, and daughter, Kimberly Ann Holton.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street, with Tim Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery, NW 226th Street, Alachua. The family will receive friends Friday, December 18, 2015 at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
