Roderick "Rick" T. Marson's Obituary
Roderick "Rick" T. Marson passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2015, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Rick was born in Hollywood, Florida, on May 14, 1943. He graduated from Coral Gables High School in Miami, Florida in 1961, and had a successful career in the Mortgage and Real Estate business, both in Miami and Gainesville.
Rickster's love of the water, particularly the Florida Keys, would provide a lifetime of great times and lasting memories. He was a Master Mason and member of Gainesville Masonic Lodge No. 41 and also a 32 degree Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Ocala.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn; son, Roderick Kurt (Aimee) Marson; brother, John (June) Marson; sister, Judi (Dave) Douglass; brothers-in-law, John (Debbie) Mozina, Rick (Sandy) Mozina, Bob (Heidi) Mozina; granddaughters Abby Marson and Sami Marson. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many loving friends. Predeceased by his son, Douglas Marson, parents, Roderick and Betty Joyce Marson, in-laws Dick and Clide Mozina, and nephew Christopher Marson.
A celebration of his life will be held in the near future.
