Robert Earl Stanley's Obituary
Robert Earl Stanley, 74, of Hawthorne, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. He was born on October 15, 1951, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Harold and Voncile Langley Stanley.
Robert graduated from Forest County Agricultural High School and spent most of his life in Hattiesburg. He worked for his family’s business, Stanley Home Builders, before continuing his career as a construction manager with Fairchild Construction. Later, he was employed by Mausoleum Constructors of America in Warner Robins, Georgia, a role that took him across the country.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Stanley; his sons, Robert L. Stanley (Sabrina) and Jeffery McClain (Shelley); his brother, Harold Stanley; and three cherished grandchildren, Robert Hayden Stanley, Riley McClain, and Alexandria McClain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Voncille Stanley; his siblings, Ronald Stanley, Gail Pulliam, Joann Langford, Richard Stanley, Donald Stanley, and David Stanley; and his uncles, William Stanley and Carl Stanley.
A private service will be held in Hawthorne, Florida. Robert will be laid to rest in the Stanley family plot in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
