Robert Melton "Robbie" Fields' Obituary
Robert Melton “Robbie" Fields, 56, lifelong resident of Alachua, Florida, died Wednesday, October 18, 2023, while living in Smithfield, North Carolina.
Robbie was born in Gainesville on July 3, 1967, and had lived in Alachua for his entire life. He was a concrete finisher by trade, having worked for O’Steen Brothers and for Bobby Powell Construction. His hobby was a gardening, he loved to watch things grow. Robbie was a member of the Alachua Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Johnson Fields, in 2020.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Fields; by one brother, Wade (Vanessa) Stebbins, and by his constant companion, his dog Gator.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 11:00 A. M., in the Newnansville Cemetery, Alachua.
