Robert E. "Bob" Litza's Obituary
Robert E. “Bob” Litza, age 86 of Gainesville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 8, 2018 in Malaga, Spain while traveling. He was born May 18, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean and Vietnam Wars before returning with 27 years of service. He was an avid Gator fan and travel enthusiast, and he loved his church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Litza, II, and sisters, Mary Jaworski and Joyce Futterlieb. Bob is survived by his wife of 60+ years, Patricia “Pat” Litza; children, Debbie Gay and Linda Bickmeyer; sister, Janice Niemczyk; grandchildren, Amanda, Tori, Aaliyah, Taylor, and Tony, and great grandchildren, Daris, Devin, Derek, and Amiya.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd St, with Fr. John Phillips as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
