Robert Grey Freeman Jr.'s Obituary
Robert Grey Freeman Jr., age 65, of Gainesville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 19, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Robert was born in Huntington, West Virginia, to Reva F. Freeman and the late Robert G. Freeman.
Robert received his AA degree from Florida Gateway College. Robert worked in the Enterprise Systems Department at the University of Florida as a Programmer Analyst until retiring in 2017.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife Cynthia; son, Timothy Freeman; daughters, Angela Altomari and Melissa Fox; stepsons, Richard Nalli and Anthony Nalli; sisters, Debbie Robinson and Rhonda Perry and ten grandchildren.
Robert was an avid student of the Bible and devoted himself to mentoring new believers. Robert was a member of Abundant Grace Community Church. Robert was a loving husband, father and ardent follower of Jesus Christ who loved sharing his faith with others.
Robert's Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at The Family Church, 2022 Southwest 122nd Street, Gainesville. The service will be officiated by Pastor Patrick Callahan of The Family Church and Pastor Phil Courson of Abundant Grace. The service will be followed by a private family ceremony at Countryside Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name to Haven Hospice are welcome and appreciated, Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd. Gainesville, FL 32606.
