Robert Bruce Epperson's Obituary
Robert Bruce Epperson, 64, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 after a prolonged illness. He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1972 and attended Countryside Baptist Church. Rob worked at White’s Electric Auto and enjoyed motorcycle jumping. Music was his passion; had a very strong knowledge of musical artists and enjoyed guitar playing. He was a Security Officer at Shands Hospital and Wells Fargo, as well as a part time Dog Instructor for protection, agitation, and obedience. He had a playful spirit, and loved life to the fullest. He was loved by friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Karyn Shander; his mom, Nell Epperson; his brothers, Tom Epperson (wife, Alisa); Donny Epperson (wife, Thelma); and sister, Teresa Ross (husband, Tracy) of Tulare, CA; along with numerous nieces & nephews (Amanda, Rebekah, Rachel, Joshua, Joseph); as well as great nephews (Alex, Ian, and Bryant). He was preceded in death by his dad, Donald Leon Epperson, Sr.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 9325 W Newberry Rd, with Rev. Rick Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Countryside Cemetery, 10926 NW 39th Ave. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the Alachua County Humane Society, 4205 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 32609.
