Robert Arnold Elmore's Obituary
Robert Arnold “Bob” Elmore, age 73 of Newberry passed away February 6, 2014. He was born November 25, 1940 in Bradenton, FL.
Mr. Elmore was Elder of Bronson Road Church. He retired from the Alachua County School Board and Gulf Oil.
He was a Motorcross Chaplin for Motor Racing Outreach in Amateur Motorcross Racing in Florida & MXer’s for Jesus. He was active in Prison Ministries, CMA Christian Motorcycle Assoc. & Gainesville Hog Chapter.
He is survived by his wife Linda Elmore of Newberry, FL; daughters, Sharon Knowles (Darren) of Bronson, FL; Shirley Holmes (James) of Little Rock, AR; sons, Bobby Elmore of Newberry, FL; Stephen Elmore of Gainesville, FL; brother, James Elmore of Beverly Hills, FL; sister, Virginia Elmore Beck of Baker, FL; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Bronson Road Church, 13830 N.E. 80th Avenue, Bronson, FL 32621 with Pastor Andy Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Newberry. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 3- 5pm at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Christian Motorcycle Association Run for the Sun. www.cmausa.org.
