Robert Lee Crocker's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Robert Lee Crocker
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Lee Crocker, who departed this life on September 22, 2025, at the age of 66. He fought many battles in his life—some seen, some unseen—but none with more courage than his victory over alcoholism and his relentless fight against cancer.
Born on October 12, 1958, in Gainesville, FL, Bobby was a man of incredible strength, resilience, and heart. He lived his life openly and honestly, never pretending to be perfect but always striving to be better. His journey through recovery was one of the greatest triumphs of his life—a testament to his determination, humility, and unshakable spirit. He did the hard work every day, and in doing so, became a beacon of hope to others who faced the same struggle.
Though cancer ultimately took his body, it never touched his spirit. He faced it with the same courage, grit, and grace that defined his life. He never stopped fighting, never lost his sense of humor, and never forgot what—and who—he was fighting for.
Bobby was many things: a lifelong Florida Gators fan who bled orange and blue; a devoted father and playful grandfather who lit up around his grandkids; and a loyal companion to his beloved dog, Blue, who never left his side. He found peace in the quiet of a fishing trip, joy in caring for his yard and truck, and pure happiness with his wife Vickie. Whether he was yelling at the TV during a Gators game, sneaking a Kit-Kat bar to Blue, on a road trip somewhere with Vickie, or sharing stories with his grandchildren, he lived in those moments with a full and grateful heart.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Crocker; children, Chelsey Crocker, Brandy Crocker, Amanda (Ronnie) Boyett, and Anita Spence; grandchildren, Bradly, Payton, Khloe, Kyleigh, Raylen, Sophia, Isaiah, Amis, Josiah, Zaniyah, Zaiden, and Aiden; siblings, Tommy (Debbie) Jones, Jesse “Micky” (Debbie) Jones, Brendalee (JD) Barry, Alice (Paul) Smith, Steven Willis, Rondale (Veronica) Willis, and Scott Willis; and many other friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Laverne Crocker; daughter, Brittney Crocker; brothers, Chuck Crocker, Jim Crocker, and Tommy Porter.
Though he is gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts.
Rest in peace, Bobby. Your fight is over, your peace is won, and your memory will be eternal.
