Robert N. "Bobby" Brooker's Obituary
Robert N. “Bobby” Brooker, 65, lifelong resident of Hawthorne, Florida, died Sunday, April 4, 2021 in the Palm Garden Care Facility, following a long illness.
Bobby was born on November 7, 1955 to the late Joe and Annie Mae Waters Brooker and had lived in Hawthorne his entire life. Bobby was well-known all-around Hawthorne, riding his bike and visiting with everyone he met. He was a strong Christian, always having a word of encouragement for whomever he spoke to and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hawthorne. Bobby will forever be remembered for his friendly spirit.
He is survived by his brother, Eddie (Lila Ruth) Brooker, of Micanopy; a niece, Pam Hoyle, of Lake City; and a nephew, Greg Brooker, of Gainesville.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:00 A. M., in the Hawthorne Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral, beginning at 10:00 A. M., at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either the 1st Baptist Church of Hawthorne, 22027 65th Avenue, Hawthorne, FL 32640 or to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
