— Robert Channing Bordeaux, affectionately known as "Bob," passed away on April 4, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida. Born on April 13, 1939, in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, Bob lived a life defined by dedication to his craft and a love for the outdoors.
Bob built a career mastering the art of creating and installing draperies and cornice boards. His meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship left a lasting impression on every project he completed. Alongside his work in home design, Bob pursued his passion for barbecue catering, delighting many with his culinary talents over the years.
In his personal life, Bob found great joy in hunting and fishing. He never met a stranger, and he was the type who’d give the shirt off his back if someone needed. These pursuits allowed him to connect with nature and create treasured memories with those who shared these experiences with him.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Ginny Bordeaux; his daughters Ashley, Lori Beam (Tom), and Cheryl Hill; and his son Robbie. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and grandchildren who will remember him fondly. Preceding him in death were his 13 brothers and sisters and his beloved dog (Colt) of 17 years.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., at the Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Hawthorne, 301 South at Lake Avenue. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., in the Bordeaux Family Cemetery, Elizabethtown, North Carolina.
